Turning On The Lights
The “Turning on the Lights” Learning Culture Scholarship is designed to empower students by equipping them with the tools and strategies needed to close learning gaps and achieve success in both academic and personal life. This scholarship is inspired by the work of Rafael D. Alvarez, Director of the MESA Program at San Diego City College, who has been at the forefront of using learning culture to transform students’ academic journeys.
Eligibility Criteria:
*Demonstrated interest in academic improvement and personal growth
*Completion of the “Learning Culture Training Plan” through the Turning on the Lights program
*Students must commit to applying the principles learned from the training to their academic journey
- Must have completed the last semester and enrolled in the current semester
- No GPA Requirement
