Friends of Downtown Academic Scholarship

Friends of Downtown (FOD) is a registered 501©3 non-profit organization made up of individuals who work and/or live in the downtown community. FOD has awarded nearly $885,000 in scholarships to students of San Diego City College since 2000, and is the largest contributor of single scholarships to SDCC each year.

Please NOTE: Some of these questions are being asked solely to help Friends of Downtown (FoD) better understand the makeup of the student body they aim to serve. Your responses are completely voluntary and will assist FoD in better supporting underserved communities. You do not need to provide your name on this page. This information will be submitted separately from your application and used only for tracking purposes.

  • Registered for 9 or more units @City College in Fall 2024
  • Must be available for an interview date October 18th or October 25th
  • Must have 9 or more units completed @City College
    *Must have 3.0 GPA or higher
