Skanska USA Civil West Scholarship

The Skanska Scholarship will provide funding for two Veterans enrolled at San Diego City, Mesa, or Miramar College. The scholarship will financially support the growth and development of selected participants to gain professional access to a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related field upon the completion of a degree or certificate. Additionally, the recipients will be provided with a paid summer internship through Skanska USA Civil West. Learn more a bout Skanska – https://www.usa.skanska.com/

Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
• Must be currently enrolled at San Diego City, Mesa, or Miramar College.
• Must have a completed 2023-2024 FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application
• Must have served in the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, or a reserve component.
• Must be pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related degree or certificate.

Each scholarship will provide one semester (Spring 2024) of support for:
• Enrollment Fee for Spring 2024
• Student Health Fee for Spring 2024
• Student Representation Fee for Spring 2024
• Book Grant based on units enrolled in for Spring 2024

If there is no funding or there are no qualified applicants that reflect this format the scholarship will not be awarded for that year.
