Sidney W. Brossman Memorial

The Brossman family established this scholarship in memory of Sidney W. Brossman who served as the first Chancellor of the California Community College system. Mr. Brossman was also an administrator in the San Diego Community College District. Awarded to English majors with financial need who are pursuing a teaching career. $200 awarded to up to three students, one from each college.

• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better
• English Major
• Interest in pursuing a teaching career
• Completion of 6 units at San Diego City College with current enrollment of 6 units or more at San Diego City College
• Must demonstrate financial need

If there is no funding or there are no qualified applicants that reflect this format the scholarship will not be awarded for that year.
