Richard & Eloise Johnston Health Services Scholarship
This scholarship was established by San Diego Community College District to honor Dick Johnston, former President of the SDCCD Board of Trustees to assist students who have been accepted into a health-related program.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Must have the following career goals: Healthcare sector, Nursing, Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician, Practicing medicine (doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant)
- Must have a 2.5 (C+) GPA
- Must be enrolled at least part time at City College
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must major in one of the following areas: Healthcare sector or Nursing
If there is no funding or there are no qualified applicants that reflect this format the scholarship will not be awarded for that year.

- Submit a well-written original essay discussing your interest in pursuing a career in the health field and indicating your financial need.
