Sinegal Internship Scholarship
Jim Sinegal attended San Diego Junior College (San Diego City College) during the 1950’s. Jim learned the importance of discipline and focus while attending City College. He transferred to San Diego State University where he gained business education knowledge, began working for Fed-Mart, and eventually met Price Club founder Sol Price. He went on to help found one of the greatest wholesale companies in industry history, a story that continues to this day. He was recently chosen as a Most Distinguished Alumnus by City College.
This scholarship was created to help support San Diego City College students who are currently taking an internship course in their field of study. Employers want their employees to be educated, many of them, in a variety of fields, feel that real-word experience is the only thing standing between graduates and their dream jobs therefore we created this scholarship to help support students while they gain practical experience in their field of study.
