Linsky Family Scholarship

The Linsky Family had maintained a multi-generational commitment to education, civic engagement, and democratic governance. A scholarship dedicated to students in the Social Sciences is essential to this commitment as we move through the 21st century.

Lila and Morrie Linsky were members of the “Greatest Generation” which lived through both The Great Depression and the Second World War and ultimately shared in the blessings and prosperity of post-war America. They impressed upon their children the need to give back to the society which had provided so many opportunities and rewards. This charge was taken seriously by that second generation and passed down to yet a third which understands the value of commitment and dedication to ideals beyond the self. It is in that spirit – and with the certain knowledge that the futures rest in the hand of educated young men and women – that the Linsky Family has established this scholarship tailored specifically for those pursuing a degree in the Social Sciences.

If there is no funding or there are no qualified applicants that reflect this format the scholarship will not be awarded for that year.
